BULK ASBESTOS TESTING
Bulk asbestos sampling and testing solutions conducted nationwide
Once we are aware of the presence of asbestos in your building, it is important that we move quickly. An early analysis allows us to determine the level of risk posed by this hazardous material in your building. The sooner we understand the specifics of your asbestos problem, the better we can resolve the issue.
The importance of bulk asbestos testing
Asbestos is a highly dangerous material if left to deteriorate. Comprised of microscopic fibres, breathing in asbestos dust can result in several potentially fatal conditions. Our job at Clarity ECL is to confirm the presence of asbestos in a building and the extent to which it poses a hazard. We then prepare a report that determines the best way to remedy the situation – be that repair, encapsulation, or full removal.
In order to do that, we need to take samples of suspected asbestos materials within the building. Since asbestos is not a uniform material, there are dozens of different varieties it. From a construction standpoint, they have the same features and properties, so are used indiscriminately. Chemically, however, they have significant differences. Some are more dangerous than others; some cause – or exacerbate – different conditions. Even our remedial measures can change from one type of asbestos to another.
What this means is that any given building can have different types of asbestos used in their construction. Our job is to map the condition and composition of asbestos across the building as a whole. The only reliable way of doing so is to take multiple samples for testing during our initial asbestos survey.
What is the bulk asbestos sampling and testing process?
As one of the UKs premier hazardous material experts, we have a detailed process for bulk asbestos sampling and testing. Here is a summation of what you can expect from us.
Bulk asbestos sampling
At Clarity ECL we offer a specialist asbestos sampling service, testing any potential asbestos-containing materials that you have at either your residential home or working premises. If you have any reason to believe you might have asbestos within your premises, our fully qualified surveyors can attend site and take samples that will then be analyzed.
Bulk asbestos testing
Once the asbestos samples have been taken they are securely sealed to prevent any form of contamination and taken to a UKAS Accredited Lab, where they are analyzed. These results are then assembled into a certificate for the benefit of our clients.
Detailed asbestos report
Once we have the results back from our bulk asbestos testing, we are able to produce a detailed report. This will show the different types of asbestos currently in your building and detail the potential risk that they pose. It will also show which areas have deteriorated over time and recommendation appropriate remedial action.
A fully-compliant bulk asbestos testing service
The safety of our staff and customers is of paramount importance to us. This is why all bulk asbestos sampling and testing is performed with strict adherence to HSE Guidance (HSG 248 and HSG264).
